Bocconi University

For the months of September and October George is a Research Visiting Professor in the Department of Management and Technology at Bocconi University.  He is co-teaching a course on International Business with Gabriella Lojacomo who he met while teaching in a summer exchange course at UCLA.

Bocconi University was founded in 1902 with a grant from Ferdinando Bocconi.  The university was named after his son, who he had lost.  (Reminds me of Stanford)  It is a private university located in central Milan.

The newest building, pictured above, is a marvel of design!  The building has several "extended arms" that provide a wall of windows in each office.

Here is George looking very professorial in his beautiful office.

This building also has a lot of interesting art.

A truly green car...

Who doesn't love a red balloon!

I call this the walking woman. This picture doesn't do her justice - she is created with lights and the lights change so it looks like she is walking.  She is my own personal little icon since I am doing so much walking in Milan!

And here is George teaching his first full class - a case study on the global wine market.

And speaking of wine, we toasted the first class with a nice little Sicilian white!

Cin, cin!
